Little White Lies launched in 2005 with the sole aim of creating a magazine that captures the excitement of talking about movies with good friends by bringing together impassioned and intelligent writing with striking and colourful design.

Little White Lies swiftly develop a style which left room for significant tonal and stylistic shifts with each issue to fully immerse the reader into the singular world of a movie through design and then delve into its myriad of themes.

The magazine is bi-monthly, and recent issues have explored the ironic, snow-swept world of the Coen brothers' Inside Llewyn Davis, an ode to the quiet majesty of Richard Linklater's Boyhood, and a peek into the dark heart of Australia via David Michôd's apocalyptic road movie, The Rover. And to celebrate 50 issues, the Little White Lies' team offered a special celebration of 50 years of cinema through a bumper collector's issue, a gallery exhibition, a pop-up shop and a weekend film festival. What I Love About Movies is the first book by the Little White Lies team, a compendium of undiluted movie passion in which some of the film industry's greatest artists share what makes them movie fans.
